ABOUT CASA DO BOI
Casa do Boi is a small house built in sustainable materials, in a wonderful lush garden full of local plants and trees, with a direct access to the beach (100m away), in the real "heart" of Atins, ideal for 4 persons (up to 6 persons).

Whether you're up to fantastic kite sessions on the flat waters of Atins, or rather looking forward a great family adventure in the Lencois National Park, Casa do Boi is the ideal place to chill or recharge your batteries.
THE HOUSE
Casa do Boi has been recently renovated, only using sustainable building techniques & materials (palm roof, walls in mortar & crushed roof tiles, ecological septic tank ...). The house is surrounded by a green garden, unique in Atins, full of local trees and plants. The garden is fully closed for a total intimacy. On the 1st floor, you will find the 2 sleeping rooms (1 with a double bed, the other one with 2 single beds), as well as the wonderful see-facing roof terrace, ideal to chill-out after a great kite session. 2 extra beds are located on the terrace. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary to be fully independent.

Twelve years ago, when we rebuilt Casa do Boi, our house embodied modernity in Atins. It was a time when public electricity was non-existent and cars were rare. Shopping then meant a full-day trip to Barreirinhas, and transporting heavy goods was done using "bois" (oxen) and "carroças" (carts)! This, by the way, is the origin of the house's name, as an ox ("boi") used to live on this very land.
The arrival of electricity about nine years ago transformed Atins, and with it, the lodging landscape. New constructions emerged, offering increasingly "premium" facilities with all modern amenities. We then faced a choice: follow this trend to remain competitive, or stay true to our deep-rooted values.
We chose the latter path. What's the point of adding air conditioning when Casa do Boi is entirely designed for optimal natural ventilation, with its open spaces inviting air to circulate freely? And why build a swimming pool when water is a precious resource in Atins (a village built on sand, at the gates of a desert) and the ocean is just a few meters away? Our commitment to a "minimal ecological footprint" is at the core of our identity.
Of course, this choice means that our house does not appeal to everyone. However, we are convinced that it resonates even more strongly with those who share our values. This deliberate positioning transforms our "simplicity" into an offer of "authentic, eco-friendly, natural living," a premium experience that goes beyond conventional amenities. Casa do Boi is a sanctuary for travelers seeking tranquility, a "digital detox," a deep connection with nature, and a positive contribution to the environment.
It is this philosophy that makes Casa do Boi not just a rental, but a unique and memorable experience in Atins.

Kite
Thanks to its flats water, Atins is a fantastic spot to learn kite, but it is also a paradise for advanced kiters when going out in the outer see, searching for waves !
National Park
Atins is the village the closest to the Lencois National park. Going for an afternoon swim in the lagoons of the park is easy, but trekkers might prefer a 2 or 3 day walk in the park, enjoying the calm and emotions of a night in an oasis.
Stand-up paddle
Ideal for families, several SUP trips are offered around Atins, benefiting from diverse landscapes and a helpful current !
Horse-riding
A stay in Atins wouldn't be complete without a marvelous horse-trip in the park, particularly amazing at sunset time.
River-cruise
Discovering the surroundings of Atins while cruising on the Rio Preguicas is a must-do if you stay several days, allowing you to discover and visit the lively small city of Barreirinhas
